Fall to Winter Color, Pattern, and Style Inspiration

Fall to Winter Color, Pattern, and Style Inspiration

Do you have a favorite season? Mine is, by far, Fall. I think it is the most romantic season. Cozy fuzzy blankets, crisp windy air, warm fires, delicious red wine, and the gathering of good friends. I love planning holiday decor, menus, and all the details that go into all of the traditions carried over decades. I’m extremely sentimental and cry every time I decorate our Christmas tree. Although, this year, things will look much different than holidays past, I am still looking forward to celebrating the good things, the true things, …and that we actually will be almost done with this most wretched year, if I do say so myself.

Creating a mood board helps me sort out all of my ideas and organize all of my inspiration. It’s a great exercise and almost feels like a brain dump (for lack of a better term). Perhaps it is the most important part of my creative process these days.

I like to summarize my inspiration into a list to help me keep my juices flowing without overwhelming my brain:

Ditsy florals - Daisies especially
Tweed layered with plaid
Fuzzy clothing and furniture
Pearls
Citrus, Tangerine
Brocade
Chinoserie - especially those depicting insects with flowers
Silk
Chunky Leather Boots
Thick gold jewelry
Fur-like accessories worn with flair

Below are some of my favorites for fall - fashion, home, holiday decor, tablescapes, crafts, and more. Visit my Pinterest Board for more. I’ll be spending a little time on Mondays updating my board…I’m excited to spend the first day of the work week inspired and ready to tackle the days ahead…join me each week as I pin and hopefully it’ll liven up your Mondays, too. :)
